Explore local activities

We are still sheltering in place, being cautious and wearing masks in public spaces amongst other people. We are also taking advantage of the activities that are available in the surrounding areas. San Francisco East Bay has an amazing system of trails for biking, walking and running and although many parks are closed, we still find green areas to kick a ball around and throw a frisbee. While Mount Diablo is closed for vehicular traffic, the trails and roads are still open for running, hiking and biking. The mountain is spectacular with wildlife and wildflowers at this time of year and of course very peaceful without cars. This is also the start of the berry and fruit picking season, which will be stretching well into the Summer. Check out the strawberry and cherry farms in Brentwood.

While many of our favorite activities are unavailable, there are still plenty of reasons to get outside, enjoy our beautiful counties and support struggling local businesses.
